As someone who spent a significant amount of time in Cincinnati’s Washington Park before its renovation I feel need to explain the story that is not being told in papers. It is not my goal to be overly negative, but to say that the park is better because it is new is really too simple. Many of us are used to the suburban model where new places do not seem to harm anyone but this is not the case in the city. In the city every new space takes the place of someone’s old space and in my view there are three problems with the way this has happened in the Washington Park
